My War To Wildlife project has led me to meet some fascinating people and this continued on Thursday 20th September 2018 , when member of the Minety Art Club,  David Miles visited my wife’s studio to show us some fantastic paintings he’d completed based on his fathers memories of RAF Down Ampney and Blakehill. His father, Gordon Miles, was an Air Dispatcher and from his memories of his time operating at both airfields towards the end of the war, David was able to piece together these images. The paintings are for sale and are now in a local exhibition. I am so grateful to David for allowing us to see them before they went on public display.
