To the south West of the site, just beyond the end of runway #2 and close to the Whitworth Building, is the overgrown and forgotten remains of a transformer house.

​

It is presumed this facility provided power to the Incendary Store area, and may have provided power to the runway lighting.

​

It can be reached from the perry track gate near to the Whitworth building and is in the corner of the field to the right.

​

It is very wet in this area and the building is unsafe.
